Two drown in rough seas off Sharjah

Sharjah: Two persons, including a Pakistani teenager, drowned in the sea off Sharjah due to rough weather Saturday, according to police.
A senior police official told Gulf News that 13-year-old Pakistani boy Mohammad Khan was swimming off Coral Beach when he was swept into the sea by the high tide.
A Palestinian man, 38, tried to rescue the boy but drowned after being dragged in by the high waves, the police official said.
A police rescue team which received the alert at around 3:50pm recovered the bodies from the sea and transferred them to Al Kuwaiti Hospital in Sharjah.
