The Tiger Who Came To Tea老虎下午来喝茶

And then he looked round the kitchen to see what else he could find.
接下来，他在厨房里转来转去，看看还能找到什么好吃的东西。

and He ate all the supper that was cooking in the saucepans...
它吃光了锅里正在煮着的晚饭，

and all the food in the fridge,
吃光了冰箱里的所有食物，

...and all the packets and tins in the cupboard...
它还打开了橱柜，吃光了橱柜里所有瓶瓶罐罐里的东西。

...and he drank all the milk, 它喝光了牛奶，

and all the orange juice, 喝光了橙汁，

and all Daddy's beer,喝光了爸爸的啤酒，

 and all the water in the tap.
还喝光了水龙头里的水。

Then he said,"Thank you for my nice tea.
然后，它说，谢谢你们请我喝这么好的下午茶，

I think I'd better go now."我想，我现在该走了。

And he went.说完，它就离开了。

Sophie's mummy said,"I don't konw what to do. I've got nothing for Daddy's supper,
妈妈说，这可怎么办，我已经没有东西可以为爸爸做晚饭了，

 the tiger has eaten it all."
大老虎吃光了全部食物。

And Sophie found she couldn't have her bath because the tiger had drunk all the water in the tap.
索菲也发现她不能洗澡了，因为老虎把水龙头里的水都喝光了。

Just then Sophie's daddy came home.
就在这时，爸爸回家来了。

So Sophie and her mummy told him what had happened,
他们告诉爸爸家里发生的事情

 and how the tiger had eaten , all the food and drunk all the drimk.
还告诉他老虎怎样吃光了所有的食物，喝光了所有的饮料。

And Sophie’s daddy said," I know what we'll do.
听完了，爸爸说：“我知道该怎么办了，

I've got a very good idea.
我有一个好主意。

We'll put on our coats and go to a cafe."
咱们穿上外套，去餐厅吃晚饭吧。”

So they went out in the dark, and all the steet lamps were lit,
他们出门的时候，天都黑了。所有的路灯都亮了，

and all the cars had their lights on,
所有的车灯也都打开了

and they walked down the road to a cafe .
他们沿着马路朝餐厅走去。

And they had a lovely supper with sausages and chips and chips and ice cream.
他们吃了一顿愉快的晚餐，有香肠、炸薯条和冰淇淋。

In the morning Sophie and her mummy went shopping and they bought lots more things to ear.
第二天早上苏菲和妈妈去买东西，他们买了好多好多好吃的东西，

And they also bought a very big tin of Tiger Food, in case the tiger should come to tea again.
而且他们还买了一大罐虎粮，以备老虎再来喝下午茶。

But he never did.可是，老虎再也没有来。
